WHAT ARE YOUR PROCEDURES IN ORDER TO KEEP US SAFE FROM COVID-19?

We are parents too and we practice what we do at home to keep our children safe from COVID-19. We have a UVCare Air Purifier in the Kids Cafè. It has a technology that instantly eliminates SARS-CoV-2. You may read more of this here.  

Our toys are 90% made from wood and because wood is naturally antimicrobial, harmful bacteria and viruses don't accumulate on them in the same way they can on plastic toys. We have structured our open play session with a 30-minute cleaning time. During the 30-minute cleaning time, we also use UVCare Germ Guard to disinfect the toys. We wipe the high touch areas such as the door knob, counter, tables, chairs, and toilet with hydrogen peroxide solution. Alcohols are available everywhere in the Kids Cafe too.

DO I NEED TO BOOK ONLINE?

Yes. Booking is encouraged to guarantee your OPEN PLAY SLOTS. The Kids Cafe has a limited capacity (maximum of 15 kids) to provide an optimal play experience without being overcrowded. Walk-ins are welcome when our space allows. Click here to book your open play session.


WHAT ARE YOUR OPEN PLAY HOURS?

When the Kids Cafe is booked for a party or a private play session, the time slots will not be available. We will announce this beforehand at our social networking sites. It will also not be available for booking at the BOOK section of our website.


HOW MUCH DO I PAY TO PLAY?

You may book a 2-hour open play pass at PhP 600, a 1-hour open play pass at PhP 350 or an unlimited play pass for PhP 900. We do not charge an adult entrance fee. Instead, we require EACH adult companion an order of a meal, a snack or a beverage from our cafe menu. For example, mom and dad will come to the Kids Cafe with their child, then they should buy a child play pass AND 2 drinks/meals/snacks. See our selection of food and drinks here. We accept a maximum of 2 legal aged guardians per paying child. 

 

CAN I RESCHEDULE MY OPEN PLAY PASS?

Open Play Pass that you got on regular price can be rescheduled a day before the scheduled event, provided that there is still a slot available on your preferred rescheduled date and time slot. Rescheduling can only be done once. In case you really cannot make it, please email us a day before your scheduled play so you can avail the full refund net of payment processing fees within 15 business days. In case of emergencies on the day of your Open Play Pass schedule, we can only accept rescheduling (no refunds) as long as you will provide us through email with any proof of the emergency that happened (medical certificate, photos, receipts, etc.). Please send your request at kidscafeph@gmail.com with subject line: [Your Order #] Refund / Reschedule. We only strictly accept rescheduling/refunding requests thru email. 

Open Play Pass you got on promotions or at discounted price are not rebookable/transferrable and are not valid for reschedule/refund.

 

WHAT IF WE ARE LATE ON OUR SCHEDULED TIMESLOT?

You may still be admitted to enter the play area if you have arrived within the time slot you have booked. However, the end of the time slot you have booked will still be followed. In the event that you have arrived later than your time slot booked, the Open Play Pass will be forfeited already and no refund will be processed.


CAN I RESCHEDULE OR REFUND MY EVENTS, PHOTOSHOOT, MOBILE KIDS CAFE, PRIVATE PLAY OR BIRTHDAY PARTY BOOKINGS?

Events tickets, private play, photoshoots, mobile play/cafe, and party security deposits are non-refundable. By purchasing, you understand that you are holding a spot so reservations for these are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend an event, you may transfer the said ticket to a friend but we cannot refund it.

Security deposits for mobile play/cafe, parties, private play or photoshoots are non-refundable or rebookable. Once you've missed your schedule, you will not be refunded of the security deposit anymore. Rescheduling will need a new security deposit. Please understand that we will use your security deposit to hold the date so that no other bookings can be made. CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN SNACKS OR FOOD?

No outside food and drinks please with the exception of water in a water bottle, food for parties or if medically necessary. 


CAN WE WEAR SHOES IN THE PLAY AREA?

Our Kids Cafe is strictly SOCKS ONLY. No shoes, no bare feet! You are welcome to bring your own socks or if you forgot, we have socks available for purchase. For our friends with different abilities who require the use of a stroller or wheeled device, we will clean your wheels before entering the play area.


AT WHAT AGE DO YOU START CHARGING CHILDREN TO PLAY?

Our rule is if your child is playing, we ask you to pay for them to do so. Children under 6 months are free with a paid sibling. Otherwise, we begin charging at 6 months. Our play area is geared towards babies, toddlers, preschool-aged children and elementary-level until age 12.


I HAVE A CHILD THAT'S OLDER THAN 12, CAN THEY COME TOO?

Of course! We welcome everybody (even adults!) that are outside of our play area age group.


I HAVE AN INFANT, DO WE PAY TO PLAY AS WELL?

Babies six months old and up will be charged the full rate already. We are the only play space in the country with toys for babies - and these are Montessori-approach aligned. We even held Montessori for Babies classes. If they are less than six months old and tagging along while big brother or sister plays and the infant won't be playing, they can hang with their caregiver for free. We welcome and encourage baby-wearing here. 


I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE CAFE FOR PARENTS, BUT WHAT IF I WANT TO USE THE PLAY AREA WITH MY CHILD?

The cafe area is available for parents who want to have some me time, get some work done as we have available plugs and free wifi, or just to chill and talk with co-parents. We also encourage parents to play with their child as much as they like, and have full access to the Kids Cafe. We even have café seating right inside of our play area for parents whose children prefer they stay close. If your child is more independent, enjoy our cafe bar seating area where you'll still enjoy full view of the play area.


DOES YOUR KIDS CAFE ENFORCE A PLAY AREA CAPACITY?

Yes! We make sure the Kids Cafe is as comfortable as possible at all times. Our Kids Cafe capacity is 15 children.


WHAT IS YOUR PLAY AREA AT THE KIDS CAFE LIKE? WHAT MAKES YOUR KIDS CAFE UNIQUE?

Our Kids Cafe is different from the rest because of our high-quality, sustainable and eco-friendly wooden toys from all around the world. We are Montessori and Waldorf-inspired. See this for more information on the brands we carry. We are also the only play space in the Philippines which offers these branded toys.

As the founders are guided by the Montessori principle, the dining area for kids is made in such a way that it will instill independence in them. They can order by themselves at the child-height counter area. They will have the ability to choose their own food through the pictures in the menu. They can get the trays by themselves and set it on their table. We encourage them to clean up after they are done eating. We have step stools in the toilet for them to reach the handwashing lavatory and so that they can easily access the adult-size toilet. We encourage removing shoes by themselves through the child-sized stools and couches and putting the shoes at the open, low-level cubby holes. All these things are being done so that the little ones can feel that they are a functional member of the community.


DOES THE KIDS CAFE STAFF SUPERVISE THE PLAY ENVIRONMENT?
All children playing inside the Kids Cafe should have a filed waiver signed by the parents/guardian. Please sign here. While we have ensured child safety in every corner of our play spaces and in the selection of toy brands we offer, WE DO NOT SUPERVISE the play of your little ones. Guardians should be 18 years old and above.Though our employees will be around, it is not their job to supervise your little ones. Please note though that we have a first-aid kit and all our employees are trained to use it. Update: We now offer a Child Minder as an add on to your open play pass. You may book it here.

DO YOU HAVE A TRIAL PERIOD FOR THE KIDS CAFE MEMBERSHIP?
Yes. if you purchase an open play pass and would like to then buy a membership, we will refund you for the day and put it towards your membership. This must be done after just ONE visit. If you have come more than once, we cannot refund you and apply it towards a membership. 


CAN I USE MY FRIENDS MEMBERSHIP CARD, OR GIVE MINE TO A FRIEND TO USE ?

No. Memberships MUST be used within an immediate family ONLY. You may not allow other families to use your passes at any time, even if they are visiting with you. They will need to fill out their own agreement and purchase whichever pass they like.


DO YOU ACCEPT CASH & CARDS?

Yes, we accept cash, e-wallets and all major cards. We do not accept personal checks.


CAN YOU PAY FOR CLASSES OR EVENTS AT THE DOOR?

All classes and events require online registration. Please see our events page for more details and registration information. This helps us plan ahead and make sure our events do not get too crowded!


I'M BREASTFEEDING, WILL YOU HAVE ACCOMMODATIONS FOR ME?

We encourage you to feed your child wherever and however you feel comfortable, but please ask if you would like more privacy. We can offer our office.


WHAT IF WE LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND?

We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please double-check before you leave our facility! We do have a lost and found by our cubbies that is donated weekly. If you did leave something, please call us and come retrieve it as soon as possible, within the week! After a week, the goods will be disposed/donated. 

WHERE CAN WE LEAVE OUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND OUR CHILD'S STROLLERS/SCOOTERS/TRIKES?

You may bring your personal belongings inside the Kids Cafè. Please note though that you must be responsible for them at all times. Play Cafe Corporation's staff and management will not be liable to any injury, loss and damage to personal belongings. Strollers/scooters/trikes and the likes can be parked outside of the Kids Cafè. Our staff will show you where to park them.

CAN I HAVE MY CHILD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AT THE CAFE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE BOOKING PROCESS?

No. We do not allow parties of any kind during our normal business hours. We, of course, allow birthday playdates where guests may bring in one cake, gifts, but we draw a strict line at bringing in any outside catering, decorations, or re-arranging tables in the cafe to accommodate your party. DO YOU ALLOW PETS INSIDE THE KIDS CAFÈ?

We allow pets to stay in our al fresco dining area.
